Page Load versus Abandonment

Page Speed and Your Visitors

One of the factors that’s very difficult or costly to impact is the speed at which your site loads. This is a constant battle here on the Marketing Technology blog… social integrations and advertising slow the page load times way, way down so we’re always trying to tune it up through a number of means. We know that we lose some visitors over it – especially if there’s a lot of traffic.

Some companies don’t take load times seriously, but it has a huge impact on your site’s ability to engage and convert customers. Case in point, Kissmetrics put together this infographic that showcase the losses.

If an e-commerce site is making $100,000 per day, a 1 second page delay could potentially cost you $2.5 million in lost sales every year.
