Spam Samaritans not only use their email accounts to communicate, but also contribute to stamping out spam for others. Last weekend my mother-in-law was describing how she abandonend her Yahoo! email account and migrated to Gmail, because it was, “all full of SPAM and couldn’t be read.” What she didn’t realize was this behavior hurts Internet Service Providers (ISPs), marketers and spammers alike. Tonight I let out a little chuckle when I logged into Google Apps and clicked on my SPAM folder. I didn’t click on the advertisement, but I couldn’t help but wonder if this is what the advertiser really wanted to spend their pay per click budget on.
