The press release just went out on BlogIN:

Indianapolis Social Network Group hosts first-ever Blogging ?Unconference?

BlogIN - Indiana\'s Blogging Unconference

Presented by Smaller Indiana, sponsored by Compendium Blogware and hosted at the IUPUI School of Informatics, BlogIN 2008, a Blogging ?Unconference?, will be held Saturday, April 26 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

During the first-ever, Indiana Blogging Unconference, bloggers from around the state will share best practices, tips, tools, case studies, and strategies for successful blogging. With presentations for the experienced blogger or a blogging beginner, the unconference will be a platform to explore blogging as a tool to build community, culture and commerce in Indiana.

?Unlike a typical conference where the agenda is set-in-stone prior to the event, an unconference allows the audience to determine some of the agenda,? commented Doug Karr, event organizer. ?Prior to the event, we?ll allow attendees to submit ideas for things they want to learn, or things they can volunteer to teach. Then we?ll organize all of the ideas into a schedule of sessions, and attendees will be able to choose the sessions that best fit their needs.?

A statewide event, streaming video, and multiple blog posts through out the day will provide a bridge to bloggers everywhere. Attendees will be encouraged to suggest topics and lead discussions throughout the interactive program.

About Smaller Indiana: Smaller Indiana makes creative people and innovative ideas easier to find. The online social network was started in January 2008 and has rapidly grown to nearly 2,000 members. It is a place for individuals to share ideas and engage with Indiana’s most creative and inspired souls, working together to build community, culture, and commerce.

Thanks to Lorraine Ball and the team at Roundpeg for the PR and promotion work and Kyle Lacy for the logo design. Lorraine and Kyle are incredible resources to Smaller Indiana (and to the bigger Indiana for that matter!) I honestly don’t know how they both juggle their small business and stay so engaged with the community!
