I’m getting quite proficient at customizing WordPress. The last couple weeks I’ve been working on a site for my best friend’s wife, Wendy. Wendy needed a site that was easy to update and looked nice. I totally transformed WordPress into more of a Content Management system. It’s fun work, though I need to complete re-writing the administrative interface. The style and theme on this one started from pretty much scratch. I started with a Cherry Berry theme but I think I’ve almost replaced every line of every page!

In case you’re wondering, The Vancouver Craft Mafia is part of an international club of Arts & Crafts Entrepreneurs who started out in Austin, Texas. Wendy is heading up the Vancouver Craft Mafia and is pretty established in the Television industry. She’s been in many commercials and television shows, as well as produced her own craft series that went to DVD. Wendy even won for best movie at the Toronto Film Festival a few years ago. Wendy and Mike are my kids’ Godparents. Wendy doesn’t pay for the work I do for her… I told her that if she did, she would have fired me by now since I’m so late! I look forward to the day Mike and Wendy move to Hollywood and need a butler.
