Carhartt approached Compendium Blogware last year and recognized that harnessing the fanatical following they had would be a great boost to their blog.
For 120 years, Carhartt has created and manufactured premium work clothing known for exceptional durability, comfort, quality of construction, and fit that you can feel in the fabrics and see in the performance.
Carhartt fans were emailing testimonials about their tough jobs and sending in incredible photographs. The process was time-consuming, though. Carhartt would often have to respond to the email and request additional information. They would resize the photo, copy the content and push it to the Carhartt Tough Jobs Blog. It was slow and painful so Carhartt asked Compendium if we could develop an automated process… the Tough Jobs Submission site was born and incorporated the Compendium Rest API to post the stories after routing them automatically to an administrator for approval.
Compendium Blogware has now incorporated the functionality directly in their product with a new feature called “Web to Post”. The feature allows any of our clients to put up a web form that submits user-generated content directly to the blog administrator so they can review and approve!
Too many companies overlook the power of their own customers’ testimonials when blogging. Authority may start on your blog, but ultimately it’s verified off your blog by your customers. Incorporating user-generated content like testimonials is a must for any company. Kudos to Compendium Blogware for automating the process!
