Webtrends Rebranded… Reborn?

This week at the Webtrends Engage 2009 Conference has been great – from the opening speeches to time that I’ve spent with industry professionals. Last night I had the pleasure of playing poker (fake money) with Alex Yoder – President and CEO of Webtrends, Jascha Kaykas-Wolff – Vice President Marketing Webtrends, Eric Peterson, Founder and CEO of Web Analytics Demystified, Chris Newton and Chris Ramsey of Radian6 – a premier enterprise reputation management system, Luke Peterson of the Barack Obama campaign… the list is long.

On the surface, some of the changes to Webtrends are subtle, though their new Open Exchange is a game changer for the Analytics industry. Under the covers, though, I had the opportunity to interview and spend a lot of time with Alex Yoder and the changes are deep.

The company has new leadership and an incredible focus on building trust with customers, being open with customers and the development community, enriching the user experience… the list goes on. Alex let slip that inbound API features are in the near future so that companies can integrate both online and offline technologies.
