Twitter Marketing

Thanks for stopping by my personal blog on Marketing Technology! Over 50,000 visitors a month find my content worth returning for, so don't forget to subscribe to the Marketing Technology Blog RSS feed or to the Marketing Technology Email to have new content sent directly to your inbox. You may also find my other business blog helpful, Social Media Domination.

I’ve been discussing this with many of the companies I work with. If you do email alerts or want to alert folks when you publish new material, think about integrating Twitter into your mix. I publish the feeds of many sites to Twitterfeed and I’m surprised how many people subscribe and take advantage. I also publish my blog posts in Twitter.

I’m not sure I’d utilize a free service like Twitterfeed for corporate marketing strategies, it’s easy enough to build a post device to push these alerts to Twitter in any platform.

Thanks for sharing this video Doug, it led me to sign-up for Twitter today … after visiting the site about 30 times in the last year. I don’t have clients utilizing Twitter at all yet, but I figured I might as well blaze the trail for them. Maybe I’ll come upon a method to use it to market web design.

Are there any clients of Patronpath using Twitter? Or exploring it?

I’m amazed at how Twitter has taken off. At first I thought it was just a fad, but then I started to see it’s value. For a blog owner it’s a great way of connecting the community of readers to you, and hopefully keep them coming back for more…

I use Twitterfeed too… another really helpful one is Tweet Later (www.tweetlater.com). In addition to getting those blog posts pushed over to twitter with TwitterFeed, you can also send auto-welcome messages, direct messages, and even queue up tweets to be released at future dates using tweet later. It’s a great tool for marketing purposes if you throw a link in auto-welcome messages.

I have a free report and some accompanying videos all on Twitter marketing & getting traffic from twitter that you might find to be a good match with your readers. Let me know if you’re interested in talking about twitter some more, any time, and at your convenience.

I’m easy to get a hold of…
