An Indianapolis Blog Conference?

Thanks for stopping by my personal blog on Marketing Technology! Over 50,000 visitors a month find my content worth returning for, so don't forget to subscribe to the Marketing Technology Blog RSS feed or to the Marketing Technology Email to have new content sent directly to your inbox. You may also find my other business blog helpful, Social Media Domination.

IndianapolisFor my friends who are local and are looking to have our own Indianapolis Blog Conference, I believe we’ve got a great chance of getting one off the ground thanks to Noah!

Noah used an ingenious method to both raise awareness for the conference as well as pull together the necessary financial resources… he started an Indianapolis Blog Conference campaign up at The Point. I may even have squeezed in as the first blogger to donate $49 to kick if off (too cool!). You should sign up, too!

I’m looking forward to a great regional event for bloggers to get together, I haven’t had the opportunity to do any traveling this year, so my blog networking is pretty limited. I speak regularly for Bitwise Solutions at Webcamp - educating folks on Blogging 101.

December 7th we’ve got a great event, the Masters of Business Online, a collection of thought leaders (and me) who work across the span of Internet technologies.

One note, if you use “DOUG” as your promotional code when registering for this first - a strategic marketing conference here in Indianapolis, you’ll save $30! Quite a collection of attendees from some great companies have already registered:

Cummins, Vontoo, Angie’s List, Walker Information, NUVO, The Indianapolis Star, The Republic, n|Frame, Compendium Blogware, Best Floors, Bitwise Solutions, MacAllister Machinery, AirFlow Technologies, Dassault Systems, FORUM Credit Union and more…

Darn! I wish I’d known to use “DOUG” when I registered! I am looking forward to the day, it’s been a long time since I’ve been able to get out and network and hear from others. It seems I’m always doing the teaching or the talking . . .

Thanks for the post! It has been less than 24 hours and we’re already up to over $500 raised for the conference–all risk free :)

Some of the fine folks at ThePoint.com have even chipped in. Oh, and by some strange bug, you managed to get your contribution to count before mine! And I’m the one that set it up. Go figure.

Thanks again, Doug!

I am a little confused: is there going to be a blog conference Aug 16 & 17.

Is it still $49 to attend?

Hi Doug!

Yes, there sure is! If you click on my home page, you’ll find a banner that will apply a discount when you click it. Just look for BlogIndiana in the sidebar!

Hope to see you there!
Doug
