John Chow dot Com is holding another evil blog contest. He’s giving away a 24″ wide screen LCD monitor and a signed copy of the best selling book, The 4-Hour Workweek! Find out how to enter here. The contest is being sponsored by The Million Dollar Wiki. Use coupon code JohnChow to save $10 on a page.

Tonight I purchased the page “Email”… I was surprised it was open! I wound up paying $100 bucks for the page because I forgot to enter the coupon code. I wrote the sellers and told them I didn’t want the $10, but I do want the extra entries in John’s contest!!!

Over $9,000 in July!

Note to John Chow: Last month I made $3,300 on this blog thanks to your advice and added another $6,000 in development contracts that I could directly attribute to my blog. $2,700 of the $3,300 was ‘evil’ but it helped pay for my son’s car repairs and computer as he’s heading off to college. Thanks, John!

Google doesn’t do that well on my site. You may want to try formatting the ads to flow with your content rather than having different background colors and borders.

I can’t remember where I read it but people are more apt to click-through if they don’t think if it as a blatant advertisement. That’s why textual ads often have more clicks than image ads.

Also - this was a BIG, out of the ordinary, month. I’d like it to be ordinary!

I actually found your page whilst researching about Million Dollar Wiki. Subsequently I have subscribed to your feed;)

The MDW is a step up from the MDHP in terms of providing a better offer and also in terms of value. I think the initial buzz and the recent buzz from John Chow will boost this site into the limelight enough to allow it to grow under it’s own momentum.
