Dear Burger King, This is not a Transformer

Dear Burger King,

I purchased a Kid’s Meal today because it was supposed to have an Optimus Prime Tranformer in it, but here is what I actually got:
Optimus Prime

Much to my child’s disappointment, the “Transformer” was really just 3 pieces of crap plastic that barely held on to one another. No “transformation” here, it just basically falls apart:
Optimus Prime Transformed

Here is a real Transformer:

I’m not sure how we will recover from this. Perhaps I’ll see the movie on Sunday.

Signed,
Doug

PS: Okay, I didn’t buy it for my daughter, I bought it for me. But she did kind of feel sorry for me.
PPS: Okay, she didn’t really feel sorry for me, she laughed at me.

UPDATE 7/7/2007: I’m not the only one complaining… check out this post from Mark on his crappy transformer. His kid was disappointed!

Oh man that is so sad. Not the broken toy, but the kid laughing at you and your crappy meal :)

Hi
Lovely….
Though generally I don’t mind BK: at least you can go there for the food. Somehow on the rare occasions I’m dragged to McD it feels like we’re ordering off the toys menu, not the food menu.

Fast food is definitely an issue for me. I work a ton of hours so dropping by a fast food joint for the family is soooo convenient. Both my kids are blessed with active lifestyles and healthy eating - fast food is a treat for them. For me, though, it’s a terrible habit that I’m pushing away from!

Thanks Michel! I edited the page utilizing the ‘rich editor’ in WordPress. I was giving that editor a try since someone pinged me on my blog to try it… and it still totally hoses up any script tags. I’m sticking to the old school editor!

You mean someone else noticed it? I have a similar story on my blog, except mine doesn’t even fall apart. If it did it would be more entertaining.

That’s so funny! My kids had a similar reaction, “Hey! Where’s the Transformer?! That’s the Transformer?! Aw, man…”
