With the huge rise of new web technologies like blogging and podcasts under the banner of Web 2.0; it is surprising to find that many small businesses are unaware of it, and even fewer are making the most of its potential.

As a result, I’ve officially stopped using StumbleUpon. I lost a few hundred dollars years ago on eBay to a known scheister. eBay’s response? Hey… it’s not our fault, contact your local law enforcement. Goodbye StumbleUpon.

For at least a couple of years now, critics of Web applications like those served up by Web giants Google, Yahoo, and Salesforce.com have argued that those apps can never replace their desktop counterparts because of the so-called “off-line problem.”

The protection requires the other buyer to be a proven millionare, for them to have 2 heads and to be able to name PI to 5 billion places. But joking aside, getting protection is a rare thing indeed. And even if they are protected and they turn out to have had their account hijacked then they dont pay out..
I only still use it because there really isnt a decent alternative, I think if one of the big boys launched a rival people would flood over, perhaps google checkout is a sign the google will save us all.
