TechnoratiPatrick over at The Lonely Marketer has a great list of Blogs to check out and add to your favorites on Technorati. If you’ve never been on a meme before, it’s a fantastic means of introducing yourself to a new audience as well as finding some great blogs out there. With 70+ million blogs, sometimes we need a hand finding that gem!

As well, by adding 3 new blogs to the list and then passing the list onto them, the audience triples its exposure with each post. Some folks don’t appreciate this method because it’s messes up algorithms of search engines and blog listings because of all the references. I disagree wholeheartedly, this is a great word of mouth method to get blogs out there that you think are worth reading.

So… to those three folks I selected, here’s what to do next:

  1. Write a short introduction paragraph about how you found the list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list.
  2. COPY the Rules and ENTIRE List below and post it to your blog. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can accessible for, go ahead and change the titles of the blog. Just don’t change the links of the blog.
  3. Take “My New Faves” and move them into the “The Original Faves” list.
  4. Add 3 Blogs that you’ve just added to your Technorati Favorites to the “My New Faves” section. Remember to also add the “Fave Me” link next to your new blogs (i.e. http://technorati.com/faves?add=http://www.domain.com)
  5. Add Everyone on this list to your Technorati Favorites List by clicking on “Fave the Site.” Those who want good kharma will fave you back. If not, you will for sure get the benefits of faves from the bloggers who continue this list after you.

Here’s my 3 recommendations for Blogs to add to your reading list

I know I’m going to get into trouble from some of my other blogger buddies for not selecting them, but I could only select 3. I’m selecting 3 fantastic blogs that I think deserve more of the spotlight:

  1. Sports Marketing 2.0 - Pat Coyle’s blog focuses on customer relationship management… with an intriguing twist. Pat works for the Superbowl Champion Indianapolis Colts. - Add to Technorati Favorites
  2. Black In Business is a fantastic blog by good friend JD Walton. JD is a success and wishes to pass his knowledge on to others. I helped JD start his blog, but it’s really exploding thanks to JD’s passion for helping others and his political activism. I think it’s important that the blogosphere reflect society and having more minority voices will only make it better! - Add to Technorati Favorites
  3. GeekWhat is friend Tony Chung’s blog. He discusses business, life and music there. He’s a great blogger who’s turned into a good friend. His blog is on a great growth track as well - his posts are concise, witty, and usually fun to discuss! - Add to Technorati Favorites

And here’s the list of Blogs that was provided to me:

Hey Doug - Thanks for keeping it going! I agree with you - I like the word-of-mouth side to these things. I always find a few new blogs that I end up reading.

Interesting idea. These type of schemes do work. When I participated in the Z-List bloggers experiment a while back I found a few new blogs, including yours!

There is also a MyBlogLog meme doing the rounds at the moment too.

Thanks for the mention Doug, I really appreciate your support! (I know this comment is totally belated) =p but I just came across it now…

Link love rocks! Keep up your $500+ per month blogging strategy! You’re doing very well.
