What a week! I got back from my Doctor’s this morning after working a few days with some intense pain in my shoulder. It appears that I’ve torn a muscle and aggravated it all week. I’m hitting it with icyhot, keeping it immobilized, and now taking some pain medication. We’re hoping the acute pain dissipates by next week; otherwise I have to go in and get some more tests.
My son is in ‘exile’ and pretty bummed out. He messed up on one of his grades this semester so I really wanted him to take a step back from his social life and get his head on straight. It’s been a week of encouraging him and some really concerned conversations between his Mom and me. He’s a great kid and I know he’ll pull through.
My daughter is with my son at their Mom’s so it’s me, the pain medication and the dog. Boy do I need a hug from my kids!
To top it off, my work is pushing a release this week while I’m home on pain meds. Talk about feeling helpless! I don’t even have my laptop so my only connection is Instant Messaging and Browser Email. Ugh.
Boy am I looking forward to next week!
